Where do you cut the stem to prune Gerbera Daisies?

I want to make sure I prune my daisies correctly to encourage more growth. Where do you cut the stem to insure you don't injure the plant?

I have Gerber Daisies that I have had for sometime. They come back every year. You can cut off the stem to the ground after the flower has faded. Because that stem will not produce any more flowers. It will continue to produce new stems with flowers which comes from the base of the plant.
Reply:Cut at a slant about 2 inches below the head of the flower.
