I was just wondering because they gave it to Jessica Simpson and the movie didnt even do that good.....and they said the reason they didnt give it to britney because her first movie was a flop!

Why does ANY actress get ANY part? The powers that be decided on Jessica... And if they said they didn't want Britney cuz of her past performance, then there's your answer.
I think they should've used a brunette actress, but they obviously didn't think that was important.
Reply:Because she wasn't as physically "hot" as Jessica Simpson at the time of the casting. Also, at that time, Jessica Simpson had real buzz due to her MTV show and her marriage to Nick Lachey.
Reply:Well, for starters Brit was preggers at the time I think or just had a baby. That would not have been real pretty in a pink bikini.
