How can I cure my hamster's cold without taking it to the vet?
DON'T LISTEN TO THEM. You have to feed her some milk, honey, and water mixed together. My hamster had a cold and I fed her monter ( thats what I call it, milk, honey, water,Monter, lol ) and she was fine. If that doesn't work, then bring her to the vet. GOOD LUCK

I couldn't find the original site I got the info from so here is the copy and paste, because it was saved on my computer.

COLDS

Symptoms of a cold may be lethargic behavior, perhaps huddling in a corner of its cage. Its nose may appear swollen and its fur ruffled from wiping nasal discharge. The eyes will also show a discharge and the hamster will breathe noisily. Place the cage into a warm spot, and give the hamster some lukewarm milk mixed with water and a bit of honey. If the hamster will not drink, you will have to feed it with eye dropper. If there is no improvement in its condition within 2 days, call or visit your vet. Always keep your hamster’s cage in a draft proof place, not too close to any window or door which may expose it to cool drafts.
Reply:You can't. She will die if she is left untreated. It will only get worse sadly.
Reply:I would take your hamster to the vet. If you really can't she may die. But try changing temperature. My hamster started to get a cold but changing the temperature seemed to help and it went away. Hope this helps! And good luck! Hope she gets better!!!
Reply:There is no cure available for colds in hamsters, just as there is none for us. Keep him warm, and away from draughts. He should be kept in a warm room preferably close to a radiator. A healthy hamster will soon fight it off, dose him up with some warm milk and a little honey.
Reply:You don't know if it is a normal cold or something tat will kill her. The vet does. Please take her to the vet before it's too late!
Reply:TAKE HER TO THE VET! she will die without professional care!
Reply:Did you give it a bath recently? We had a mouse get pneumonia from getting too much water in it's mouth while swimming. It soon started to sneeze and cough and passed away. Now we let them bathe in critter dust when they are stinky. We don't handle our birds and rodents when we are sick because they can catch the germs. The vet has antibiotics which may help.
Reply:try putting a wet rag on its head, and have a dry rag around its body.
