My boxer pit mix daisy wont put any weight on.?
It might just be that she's really active. 65 seems a little small for a full grown pit or boxer. Since it's a mix, it should be right about 75-80 lbs, at full grown that is. If she's just a pup then don't worry about it. Make sure there's food in her bowl at all times and just wait for her to gain weight. It's hard for them to lose it once they gain it, I had a pit that shot from 51- 75lbs in less than a month. When I took her to the vet, it freaked me out. I had to start walking her for an hour instead of 30mins and I had to keep her food put up till early in the morning or late in the evening. I don't like limiting my dogs, I figure that if they're hungry they need to be able to eat. So yea. Don't really worry about it. If the vet said that it's normal, then she's fine.

Good luck and hope I helped
Reply:she should not weigh more than 70-80 lbs if a boxer. she is a mix, so if the other breed is a smaller dog...she should be 50-60 lbs. she is probley the weight she should be, but ask a vet. if she does need to gain, try cottage cheese. my vet recommended that to put weight on my mastiff. she was only 123 and he wanted her between 130-140 lbs.
Reply:65 pounds isnt underweight, but her eating so much and not putting weight on could mean she has worms, youll need to take a fresh stool sample to the vet and have it checked, and depending on the results, the vet may want to examine her further.Boxers are kind of hyper, she may just be burning food off from that.
Reply:Boxers and Pits are both lean body types. If vet she is ok leave it at that.Better than having a fat dog.Make sure she is eating food for active dogs with plenty of calories and protein.
