When I want to find the value of something, I do the following: first, look on the back of the a piece of the China and see if you can find any name of the manufacturer. If you can, put in a search for it on the net. Second, put in a search for it on an auction website to see what people are actually paying for it. (To me, this signifies the true value as something is only worth the amount you can actually get for it!) Third, look in Antique shop to see if you can find the same China. Finally, you could find out when the "Antique Roadshow" is coming to a city near you!
I have a very old daisy pattern china set that has been handed down to me. I am trying to find the value of it
Check out replacements.com. If you know the name of your pattern you can probably get an idea of the value by checking the individual pieces replacement costs. If you don't know the name of it, there is a pattern identification service through this site that can help you.
Reply:it is worth what someone is willig to pay
