"D58" gave you very good advice.

the MV is 750fps with BB's but only 715fps with .177 lead pellets. You're going to have to get very close to make a humane kill.

MV 715fps with RWS Superpoint pellets = 9.31fpe

575fps(with the RWS Superpoint pellets) puts you right at the limit(6fpe) for hunting small game such as rabbit %26amp; squirrel.
Reply:Yes my son started with one just like it, but range is critical.

Get close as you can before you shoot.

And use a light grain weight pellet to add in retained velocity at close range.

Reply:get a 22 cal
Reply:Its Possible but your best bet is to go with a 22 caliber that would be the best choice.
Reply:I have one of those and shoot regular pellets through it and it couldnt hit the broad side of a barn. The gun might not hit a squirrel a 20 yards. If you hit it, it will probly kill it.
Reply:Personnaly, I think a bb is pretty small to hunt with, unless it comes out of a shotgun. It's good for training and targets. Use pellets if you think you have to try to kill something with it, but a .22 is a better choice.
