what is the scientific name of a white daisy
Scientific name of a white daisy?
If you are referrring to Shasta diasies, they name has been soooo confused lately in the hort world. It was Chrysanthemum maximum, then Leucanthemum chrysanthemum, then Dendranthemum (...something...) and now it has landed on Chrysanthemum x superbum.
An attempt to re-classify the Chrysanthemum family was done and that lasted for just a few short years. The names are commonly confused now.
Here is a link to show some of the proper botanical names:

If you are referring to the Shasta daisy, here is a link to show just one: Chrysanthemum x superbum 'Alaska' to be sure I'm giving you the right name for the right plant! http://images.search.yahoo.com/search/im...
Hope this helps. :)
If the RHS link doesn't work try this: http://www.rhs.org.uk/index.asp
scroll down to "Plant finder"
in the box, type in "Chrysanthemum" and you will see all the plants there
Reply:Leucanthemum vulgare
or
Chrysanthemum leucanthemum
Reply:Try searching on google. Look for a source that ends with .org or .edu since they are the most reliable. It shouldn't take long and isn't difficult.
