Driving miss daisy?

I'm auditioning for the play driving miss daisy. i've never seen the movie before. im 18, do you think i should audition or do you think the roles are only for older people. if im not too young, what would be a good audition piece?

Unless this is a high school production, don't bother. Daisy goes from her 70s to her 90s, Boolie from his 40s to his 60s, and Hoke from his 60s to his 80s. In spite of the larger cast in the film, the play has only three characters.
Reply:Unless this is a high school production, you are FAR TOO YOUNG to audition for any of the characters unless you can act REALLY well and convince people you are a senior citizen, and you are willing to wear tons of makeup to make you appear elderly.
Reply:I would have thought you were too young this is a story about geriatrics. Lovely story but not to be acted by young people, I wouldn't have thought.
