Can you give daisy scouts their daisy pin before the investiture ceremony?

I was told by the GS Store that you can give the girls theri Daisy pins as early as their first meeting but now that I have read my leader book it says to give it to the girs when they become invested

Yes, you can give the girls their pins anytime.
Reply:Every girl that is registered in Girl Scouts can wear the pin as soon as the registration is turned in. Many troops perfer to wait to have an investiture ceremony-to make it seem more important. You do not have to wait.
