The book, The great gatsby : tom, nick, gatsby, all like daisy, but which one has a better sense of character.

Which one is better for her? Explanations please. Examples. Which one is not?

i thought gatsby casue he loved her sooo much, even though it was kinda pathetic

i hated tom, he didnt deserve anyone
Reply:I think Gatsby went to great lengths to get her to notice him. He spent mass amounts of money just in hope that she'd come to him one day. Tom seemed very much infatuated with money and possesions and towards the beginning I was rooting for her and Gatsby to rekindle their flame (which they did briefly). Towards the end I realized that Daisy wanted the same as Tom. She went back to Tom as if nothing ever happened between her and Gatsby without even a thought. Tom and Daisy are both made for each other. They seem to have no compassion for others' feelings. Nick never wanted Daisy as more than a cousin though. =] x
Reply:Tom. Daisy is a metaphor for hw she is like a flower. White and pretends to be pure on the outside but yellow representing her motivatin for gold in reality. She wants an old money man not gatsby
