Does anyone know of any daisy-like flowers that grow well in partial shade to shade? I don't even mean daisies exclusively; I'm even looking for flowers that resemble daisies.
Thanks! :)
Daisy-like flowers?
Everything that I can think of does well in partial shade, but not full shade.
Daisies
Scabiosa
Heliopsis
Coneflower
I would recommend a site like http://michiganbulb.com/ even if you don't purchase online the site will help you with different ideas. A daisy I've had a lot of success with is the painted daisy. They are full of color... not the same ol' white.
Goodluck
Reply:There are several types of coneflowers that grow well in shade to partial shade. They multiply quick too so you can spread them around your flower beds. I like foxglove for the same reason. They don't look like daisies but can be planted easily with seeds and come in so many different colors too.
Daisey come in so many varieties so check in your local garden shops. My favorite daisy is the "Alaskan" variety because of the height.
Reply:Asters are like large daisies and come up every year and are easy to grow and easy to get.
Reply:zinnias
Reply:Guessing, Gerber Daisies!
Reply:try black eyed susans...
Reply:There are many available. Most like sun to part shade, take a look at Osteospermum, chammomile, or asters.

Reply:I especially like wildflowers (where all other flowers come from). What comes to mind is Ox-eyed Daisy, Asters and Daisy Fleabane. Around here, they grow in sun or partial shade, even light shade. There is a site, however, where you can search (one of many!!):

One of the good things about these, is that they need very little care.
