How can I Dry and Press daisies?
take a big heavy book, put the flower in the very back, and shut it. (make sure the petals aren't all folded up when you shut the book) put the book on a hard surface and stack more heavy books on top of that. Then wait about 2 weeks.
Reply:put them between two napkin and then place in a book. After that stack some extra books on top to insure drying.
Reply:My grandmother and I used to take parchment paper and the biggest book we could find to press flowers. She would open the book somewhere past the middle lay a piece of parchment down and then we would lay the flowers down and place another piece of parchment on top. Then we would close the book carefully and place it laying on the bookshelf and usually put more books on top after that. I would always want to check but my grandmother would say no I had to be patient then I would usually forget and about 2 weeks later she would pull them out and then we did lots of different things with them. The color really kept. I think that's why we used parchment paper. If you use anything else it sucks the color out. I hope this helps.
Reply:the heavy book thing will work, but press your flowers between layers of newspaper. There are probably easy plans to make a flower press on the internet.
